Previous Experience:

I’ve been dealing with technology since 1989 (30 years ago???). It’s been amazing to see the changes from my days at Radio Shack selling Tandy computers with 200 baud modems to moving data over 10 Gbps Fiber connections. The changes have been incredible.

In the past 30 years, I’ve worked on a Help Desk, been the Director of Information Technology for an International Oil and Gas Company and everything in between.

What do you like most about UnitedCloud?

That’s easy to answer! The technology. The ability to communicate via a business phone system through the internet has always amazed me. UnitedCloud’s ability to be customized to the end user’s needs is a step above other offerings. I believe this will truly be a game changer.

What hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at home with my kids – either in my kitchen cooking up Micro Meals, or on my XBox playing Skyrim. (That game never seems to end.)

Outside of the home, I’m either at Karaoke or on the patio at the Cactus Club.

I also have an unhealthy addiction to David’s Tea.

What were you like at age 10?

I had just moved back to Calgary from Manitoba and was trying to figure out why the people here were wandering around in ski jackets when it was t-shirt weather. Now I understand and embrace my ogre fashion sense. It’s all about layers.

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

No one. I like being me and don’t want to worry about other people’s problems. But given a chance to spend a day with someone? I would love to spend one more day with my Dad.

What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?

I don’t know what it was. All I can say is that it never should have been put in my mouth. Ick.

What music do you like listening to?

I like all types of music. My tastes are really all over the map. From Blues and Jazz to Rap to Musical.

Playing shuffle on my playlist will leave anyone shaking their heads as Tupac is followed by Alan Jackson followed by a track from Sweeny Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street followed by Roxy Roller by Sweeny Todd. Let’s get some Classic Metal followed by some Ella Fitzgerald for good measure.

Music is good for your soul.

What’s the best vacation you’ve ever had, and why?

My best vacation was a trip to the Dominican Republic back in 2008. It was relaxing and an amazing time in a beautiful country.
