Previous Experience:

I have 10+ years of IT Support experience starting from a hardware technician and team lead at Tech Squad to 3 years of running my own company providing cloud based collaboration solutions and development.

Certifications:

I am Crestron certified (home and office automation). My knowledge is almost all self-taught otherwise.

What do you like most about UnitedCloud?

The small community that we have built internally with my co-workers and, externally, the deep level of interaction I get to have with our resellers and customers. Really makes you feel like you’re a part of something bigger.

What hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?

I love working on and designing circuits for things. Especially for my car. Which I constantly am tinkering with and improving. Otherwise I am playing video games with friends or binge-watching shows on Netflix (Mad Men, currently).

What were you like at age 10?

A joker, always getting into some new game or taking apart things to see how they work or how I can make them better. Basically me now, but extra hyper.

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

Bill Gates. He has been my hero since I was able to understand what “Windows” was.

Or Travis Barker (from Blink-182).

What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?

Deep-fried Mandarin Orange. I don’t know why I made it or why I ate it. But it was pretty gross.

What music do you like listening to?

Pretty well anything. I always fall back to some favourites from growing up (Blink-182, Linkin Park, Pendulum, Paul Van Dyk, ATB), but I will listen to anything that is playing. I’m pretty easygoing with music.

What’s the best vacation you’ve ever had, and why?

Best vacation is next week! I am going to Ottawa with my Mom to learn about my heritage out east (I am from Calgary, born and raised) and to meet some of my family that I have never seen.

If it is HAD specifically… 3 years ago, I went on a 2-week trip camping in BC with my friend and we stayed at a bunch of places. The top of Mt. Ida, Halfway Hot Springs, and a couple other really amazing spots.
